I have already written that I have a habit of watching Norwegian news on NRK (the Norwegian TV channel). So yesterday they showed an outrageous case that I have to write about. A child lying in a pram was bitten by a fox.
The child’s father managed to grab the fox by the muzzle, and the bite was apparently not deep (they showed the child on TV). Specialists suppose the animal was sick. But as I understood it, they did not catch this fox.
At some point my husband told me that there is no rabies in Norway. I then doubted and asked: “And what, they don’t vaccinate animals against rabies?” He answered that he doesn’t know. (?!).
At Christmas our stepdaughter came to visit, and I asked her about our cat, whether they had given her this vaccination (the stepdaughter once found her emaciated and took her in). And now she is sort of “my cat.” She doesn’t know either. But she supposed there is a vaccination, because the cat was spayed.
And in general, my husband said, “this fox is most likely not Norwegian, but ran over from Sweden.” “So what? It ran back to Sweden again?” — I asked my question. Anyway, we “talked.”
