Well, for the first time I “ran into” such an un-Norwegian situation. And it was like this. Every Sunday we try to spend with benefit for health — to swim our lengths in the pool. And it is best to arrive there at opening, at 10 o’clock, while not all the people have woken up. True, at Aquarama (the water palace) there is enough space for everyone, but still we prefer to swim each our quota at a pace and quickly return home. This has already become a Sunday habit.

The private underground parking at Aquarama is paid for all types of cars (and they promised free for electric cars!). The system for entering the parking is as follows: you drive in, stop the car before the barrier, open the window, press the button on the machine, take a ticket. We swam, we go into the parking. In a convenient visible place there is a machine. There we pay by card for the time. Generally we spend an hour on swimming and dressing. An hour of parking costs 3.5 euros.

And the last stage is leaving the parking. Here the barrier already rises automatically (the system is already “in the know” that we have paid). But in front of us, at the exit, stands a car with Norwegian plates and for some reason does not leave. Naturally you cannot go around it. We stand and wait. A young man got out of the car, opened the boot, searched for something there, sat again in the car on the passenger seat. We stand, he got out of the car again, opened the boot, Ivan pressed the horn once.

I told him not to honk any more, because it gets on the nerves, a person can get confused and not find at all what he is looking for in the boot (apparently they had not paid for some reason, possibly they were looking for the payment card). But then the car moved, the barrier rose, but the driver managed to show us from the window a gesture not characteristic of Norwegian drivers.

We laughed, drove after them “two steps,” and “they” stopped again at the intersection (I must note there were no cars nearby). Ivan puts on the left turn, and at that moment an enraged Norwegian woman driver jumps out of the car, gesticulating in our direction! And that is when we quickly “escaped” from her.

That was the funny situation we had today. And yet in the rules it is written that you should get behind the wheel only in a good mood! Apparently there are exceptions to the rules.
