Vova stands on the snowy path and cannot move from the spot; the sleeves of his jacket have become so long that they already drag on the ground, and having taken a step, Vova understood that with such sleeves he would not get far. He sat down on the path and wept bitterly.
And two steps from him stood two women with prams, in which their infants slept peacefully. They were talking animatedly, turned toward each other, and of course, carried away by their conversations, paid no attention at all either to their sleeping children or to weeping Vova. Two sailors were passing by. They saw little Vova. They thought he had fallen out of a pram. They took him in their arms; Vova did not even have time to say a word before he found himself in a pram next to a sleeping infant!
What was left for him to do? Quiet down so as not to wake the infant and not attract the mothers’ attention. And since it was winter, he quickly drifted into sleep. How long Vova slept, nobody knows. I think, a long time. But “everyone knows” that women can talk for a long time. I think they finished the conversation when their soles began to freeze to the snowy asphalt.
Seeing a sleeping strange child, they began to “wail” that someone had planted a child on them. A crowd of the curious gathered. Among the curious was a lady with a miniature dog of a rare breed, Chihuahua (I apologise for the word, perhaps I wrote it incorrectly, but I am unlikely to be able to pronounce it correctly). The crowd also began to call “in chorus” for the militia (then there were no mobile phones, they had not yet been invented. There was only Shortage, but that is already another fairy tale).
The mamas with four hands began to pull the frightened Vova out upside down. Because of this jacket it was hard to work out where the legs were and where the head. And by mistake the mamas took Vova by the legs and gave him a slight shake. Vova, it’s true, did not fall out of the jacket, but from the pocket fell the Red pill! Oh horror! And this little Chihuahua dog, excuse me, I can call her the Rapid-Response Dog, because, seeing the Red pill, she immediately swallowed it….
And what happened next, some have probably guessed, but now I must go to bed and in my sleep compose the continuation.
