Legoland

Inspired by the number of people reading me in many countries, I decided to continue my travel story. I hope many understood that tormenting title of a composition that many of us had to write at school. At once I remember my childhood and adolescence (teenagerhood), as it is called now. And then the first days of September at school… God grant one remember what there was in summer, in summer, what there was in the hot summer…. And now too, I remember that I was hot. I have grown unused to heat in 10 years in Norway.

But before the trip I discussed with my Norwegian husband a plan for booking hotels, that they must have a pool. For me that was very important, to dip into a pool, to swim at least half an hour, and otherwise I am not very demanding. I understood that I like completely simple hotels, preferably without lifts and many storeys and pomp, and so… a long corridor on the first floor with rooms and many exits in case of fire 😻.

In the morning, breakfast. Here I have difficulties — I eat little, and there is a lot of food. My husband has no problems. He has eaten and can go a whole day without recalling food or drink. I have to take a piece of bread with me, spread butter, put a piece of cheese and ham, and also ask the waiter to pour boiling water into a thermos. I have a habit even in the heat of drinking hot tea.

In Denmark we were one night in a hotel; in the morning we went to Legoland. It is good that we arrived in the morning, but many had already managed to wake up and arrive too, managed to park successfully and stand in line at the machines to pay for parking. A couple of hours were enough for me to enjoy the Lego buildings. Having found out from my husband how far it was to the German border, we decided to set off, planning about 6 hours on the road and by evening to stop at a hotel that we would book on the way, using the internet.
