DO YOU LOVE TO TRAVEL?  Part 2. Each time I think: “Ira, write a little every day….” And it doesn’t work! Of course there is information and it must be written down and analysed. Suddenly it may happen that I start forgetting my life, just as my mama is now. She no longer remembers her life… But today’s part of writing will still be about our cruise.

You know, I really strained myself in noisy Rome in those two days before boarding the cruise ship. I understood that to fall from cool Norway into a hot summer is a real torture for me. The city centre, heat, crowds of tourists, among them cyclists and motorcyclists, cobbled alleys with a heap of “little eateries” that one does not want to go into. But I am a “tourist,” not a “inspector,” and my aim is to see as many sights as possible, which is what my husband and I tried to do.

About my husband. He is an enduring person, strong, “Nordic character.” About myself. I am a woman not capricious and not demanding and even silent on long trips. But walking with him is hard for me — we have different steps, I quickly get out of breath, I tire, and I am already as in Vladimir Vysotsky’s song “neither friend, nor foe, but so….”

Two days in Rome flew by and morning came to pack for a journey not very far, but to the sea for boarding the cruise ship. With the taxi driver who met us at the airport we had agreed that he would take us to the boarding place. But about an hour and a half in the morning, something unforeseen happened to me — a “stab” in the lower back, after taking a shower.

I will now describe the “scene of slowly crawling out on all fours from the shower-toilet.” Already dressed–packed, suspecting nothing bad, my Norwegian husband lies on the bed in headphones with an iPad. And here I am, half-dressed, crawling out, feverishly opening my iPad and searching, typing in YouTube First aid for a stab in the lower back, and remaining in the pose of a “sad donkey” I start watching films on the given theme.

As you understand, all the films start with advertising, and what I need to find quickly — urgently, namely special physical exercises for my problem, I cannot find. When I had already started throwing the bedspread and pillows off the bed to lie on the floor, my husband paid attention to me. Until the taxi arrived there remained 1 hour, and in that hour I set myself the task, as you understand, to straighten, stand on my feet, dress, comb my hair, put on lipstick (to look completely healthy). And I did find those exercises! There are many recommendations now. I trust on YouTube Dr Veremeyenko. In 15 minutes of special exercises I did overcome myself. I place a photo and you, looking at the photo, will probably not believe that I, “completely broken, ‘paralysed,’” stand smiling, waiting for the taxi….
